A startlingly original cinematic ode to Allen Ginsberg’s epic countercultural Beat poem, Howl interweaves an infamous obscenity trial with mind bending animation and a career defining performance from the ever-enigmatic James Franco (Milk, Spider-Man). Howl recalls the queer loves, road trips and search for personal liberation that inspired a poem that challenged the establishment and galvanised a generation.
