We want our website to be more than just information. We are not interested in a website full of static 'stuff!' We want to create a place packed with dynamic and interesting content - a site you might want to revisit regularly.
We want our website to be an extension of our vision and values - a place of community, conversation, creativity and interaction. The Collective is the place for that. It's here that you will find contributions from many different people, including those who are part of the Redeemer Community and, from time to time, some special guests. You will find things that made us think, laugh, cry, hope, and be challenged. It's a section that will keep on growing - so just keep on scrolling and watch more articles load.
We would love you to interact with us through the site - so make sure to leave your comments!

Rollercoaster ride
2009 has so far been a bit of a rollercoaster for my family and I. As I sit and think about some of the circumstances we have experienced I feel quite overwhelmed with emotion. I can’t deny that a lot of what we have faced has been tough going but what brings tears to my eyes is how our friends at Redeemer have supported us.
Seven weeks that changed my life
Nothing much normally happens during 7 weeks in my life; I pay off about half a percent of my mortgage, I drive to work 35 times (and back again, usually), I eat around 100 meals, and generally get on with life quietly and calmly. God, of course, plays a big part, spending time with Him, speaking to Him and hearing from Him, but I usually hear the voice of encouragement, the voice of discipline and the voice of comfort. I've not been used to hearing a voice of direct guidance. This is the backdrop against which a period of absolute life change occurred.

Grace upon grace
John 1 v16 "And from His fulness we have all received, grace upon grace." I love the way God has a sense of humour and that He always disciplines us with tender love. My Mum came to stay over with me one night as my husband and two girls were away. She had put her rather expensive contacts lenses in her glasses case again instead of the proper little lens case thing. This is something she does often and I often give off to her about it. Anyway, first thing in the morning when we were barely human-like my inquisitive two-year old came straight into the room, promptly opened the glasses case and started to dance and jump up and down (she likes jumping, she does it a lot!) Mum shrieked and Mimi burst into tears. I ran into the room and mum explained what had happened. I bit my tongue instead of launching into “I’ve told u before...”etc (bit of role reversal I know). We found one but the other one was gone. We spent some time searching everywhere, Mimi helping even though she didn’t know what we were doing.
