We want our website to be more than just information. We are not interested in a website full of static 'stuff!' We want to create a place packed with dynamic and interesting content - a site you might want to revisit regularly.
We want our website to be an extension of our vision and values - a place of community, conversation, creativity and interaction. The Collective is the place for that. It's here that you will find contributions from many different people, including those who are part of the Redeemer Community and, from time to time, some special guests. You will find things that made us think, laugh, cry, hope, and be challenged. It's a section that will keep on growing - so just keep on scrolling and watch more articles load.
We would love you to interact with us through the site - so make sure to leave your comments!

Encounters at the End of the World
I’ve a growing love for film documentaries and I've just finished watching Werner Herzog's Encounters at the End of the World. Some stunning cinematography accompanied hauntingly beautiful music make it worth the watch alone. In it, he journeys to Antartica to the McMurdo outpost that seemingly magnetically gathers an eclectic oddball troupe of scientists, philosophers, travellers, biologists and skilled workers from allover the globe.

To infinity and beyond
I was loosing some hours on youtube.com last night when I came across a series of video's from Louie Giglio - his name rang a bell. I remember a few people mentioning his name but couldn't remember why so thought I'd sceptically start watching 'Indescribeable'. For the past few weeks I've found it hard to concentrate on things but I couldn't stop watching this - it caught the whole of my attention.

The phenomenon of wow
phenomenon • noun (pl. phenomena) 1 a fact or situation that is observed to exist or happen, especially one whose cause is in question. 2 Philosophy the object of a person’s perception. 3 a remarkable person or thing. ORIGIN Greek phainomenon ‘thing appearing to view’. wow informal • exclamation (also wowee) expressing astonishment or admiration. • noun a sensational success. • verb impress and excite greatly. Jesus spoke incendiary truths and did explosive things. He identified the elements of his culture that were contrary to the scandalous message of grace. He would then take them down, not with complex arguments and weighty discourse but with simple acts, mind bending stories, displays of deity and outrageously phenomenal statements. His audiences were told to love the people they hated the most, lay down their stones and leave the adulterous woman alone and touch those who would make them ‘unclean’. They were amazed by a man who would destroy the temple, the very thing that gave them identity as a people. They were perplexed by this Jesus who claimed to be the sibling of Yahweh and then told them He was also The I AM.

In the every day things
Since becoming a wife and a full-time mum I found it increasingly impossible to have a set space of time to read the bible and pray. There came a particularly busy time in my life and I was getting frustrated because i loved to be on my own with God for a good hour or so in complete quietness without interruptions.
