Redeemer online: get connected
The world is now a very connected place and much of that is due to a small phenomenon that snotty nosed geeks refer to as the ‘interwebs’ or what Peter Kay calls “t’internet’’- you may have heard of it. The Internet which launched in 1995 is starting to grow up thanks to a social networking revolution and we at Redeemer are big fans. Our desire is to be connected to as many people as we can and use these technologies to share the Gospel of Jesus.
Connection, communication and content
Social networks are a great way to meet and gather people but they also help to augment real-life relationships and keep us connected to people that we care about. We want to harness the power of these networks to connect with people. At Redeemer people matter and vast amounts of men and women in our city and beyond are online so we want to connect with them. As well as being part of a growing online community we also want to use the Internet as a means of communication and a distribution channel for content. Just as the reformers utilised Gutenberg’s printing press in the 15th Century to relay their ideologies, transmit ideas and communicate truth we want to utilise technology in the 21st Century to the same end. This means we plan to use online social media channels to keep people informed of what’s going on at Redeemer and to distribute our own content such as articles, audio and video all in an effort to serve people and spread our vision and the message of Jesus.
Alongside our main online presence at www.redeemercentral.com you can find us in any of the social networks below so click through and get connected to Redeemer.
