Red:Outdoors January 2010
Red:Outdoors is for those who want to get out and enjoy our beautiful corner of the planet. It might be a spot of sea fishing (we even provide the gear!) or a gentle ramble around one of Northern Irelands' beauty spots. Perhaps it's a more strenuous hike in the Mournes or maybe a night under canvas. It could even be bouldering, canoeing or clay pigeon shooting - the possibilities are endless. Whatever activity it happens to be we're planning on getting out there and enjoying it.
So, we’re going to start the year with an easy to get to walk that has a great payoff view of everyones favourite city when we reach the top. It’s fairly challenging in parts so wear suitable footwear. The weather will no doubt be typical for that time of year so waterproof and warm is probably a good idea. We’ll aim to be up and down before lunch and find our way somewhere nearby for a drink and a bite to eat for those who are up for it.
Here is a link to a description and a map of the route we will be taking. We’ll meet at the car park just before the castle.
