Songs My Mother Taught Me: Charity Recital by International Countertenor Lawrence Zazzo
Redeemer Central and Red:Collective are pleased to be hosting a charity recital by the International countertenor Lawrence Zazzo on Sunday 20th March at 3pm in May Street Church, Belfast.
For the recital titled ‘Songs My Mother Taught Me: A Programme of 20th Century American Song’, Lawrence will be joined by pianist Simon Lepper and will perform a variety of classic songs from composers such as Charles Ives, Samuel Barber, Ned Rorem and Andrew Gerle. The event is supported by The Arts Council of Northern Ireland.
Everyone is welcome and the proceeds will be going to support two organisations which are close to Redeemer Central/Red:Collective and Lawrence’s heart – NI Opera and Carrickfergus Women’s Forum.
